We're
located just outside Reardan, in the heart
of Washington's wheat country, 22 miles
west of Spokane. Our shop resides in a
century old carriage house dubbed The Buggy Barn™
by the 96 year old daughter of the man who
homesteaded here.
Pam
and Janet make most of the quilts and,
because they love scrap quilts, they make
fabric bundles for their projects which
makes shopping easy for busy customers.
Their mom, Margaret, does all
the embroidery work seen in many of the
quilts and wall hangings throughout the
store. Pam and Janet both teach quilting
classes.

Buggy Barn™
patterns and books feature a multitude
of designs that Janet, a former engineer, and Pam have designed. The quilts express the sisters lighthearted approach, with twisted stars, bunnies in bow ties, and a recently adopted dog, gracing the quilt tops. Fabric design has become a part of Buggy
Barn™
, featured
in our webstore
or in our retail store.
The Buggy Barn™
hosts an
"Annual Outdoor Quilt
Show" and folk art sale, which is always the last full weekend of August. Customers bring in up to 300 quilts. Family members rise early to hang quilts on barns and lines strung across the yard, and visitors come from many miles. Each year a juried folk art sale and a weeklong series of classes enables visitors to learn as well as look.
